Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships form a vital part of Apollo’s approach to community investment and training.

For Apollo, employing apprentices helps us to meet a major business objective of making a wider impact on the communities in which we work through initiatives that reach beyond improving buildings.

We employ and train apprentices across every area of our business, from accounting and quantity surveying to carpentry and electrics. The investment we make here means that individuals living locally to our projects are given greater career prospects in the long run.

Our sponsored apprentices work in trades such as carpentry, plumbing and electrics and are encouraged to undertake an NVQ qualification alongside the practical experience they get on site or in the office. We also supplement their training with courses from our own dedicated Learning & Development Centre, which includes the Enrichment Programme covering IT, interview skills and presentation training, and we ensure all of our apprentices undertake the CITB test as standard.

While working for us, apprentices are employed as full Apollo staff so receive the same benefits and support as all Apollo employees. For us, it is a great pleasure to see our apprentices develop skills and grow into capable, reliable professionals, who also add value to the Apollo team.
