Apollo First for MCS Certificate

Friday, 29 January 2010

Apollo has become the first company to gain accreditation under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) through CORGI.

The certification scheme provides an ongoing, independent, third party assessment of Installers of Microgeneration systems and technologies, to ensure that the requirements of the appropriate standards are met and maintained.

MCS accreditation is increasingly used as a verification mark for capital grant schemes promoting energy efficiency in the built environment. Implementation of our MCS system therefore ensures our Clients are able to maximise opportunities for funding.

Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Systems Manager, Simon Whelan said “Apollo is delighted to be the first company to gain MCS accreditation through Corgi. This certification proves our commitment to innovation through considering sustainable technologies in future contracts.”

Apollo is also part of the Renewable Energy Assurance Scheme (REAL) for the supply of renewable, micro heat and power generators to domestic, community and small commercial consumers. This code helps domestic consumer members achieve high standards when selling or leasing micro heat and power generators, whether from renewable or other low carbon sources.

This certification proves our commitment to innovation through considering sustainable technologies in future contracts.
