Camden Council have chosen Apollo Housing as a partner to carry out a £413million programme which will see vital improvement works to the homes of thousands of Camden residents.

Apollo is one of the two contractors that will carry out the programme which could begin as soon as this autumn. The contracts have been awarded over a five year period with the option of a five year extension. Works will cover;

• Fitting new windows
• Kitchens and bathrooms
• Upgrading wiring and heating systems 

The two year tender process involved extensive consultation with tenants and leaseholders on the choice of partners. Resident representatives were trained in procurement so that they could sit on the evaluation panel throughout the process. Visits to other areas where the contractors have worked were also carried out.

The project will provide exciting training and apprenticeship opportunities for local people.
